Getting ready for my Annual Convention in Nashville....

Three weeks and counting until I go to Nashville for my Annual Convention. I feel like we are so behind but I also feel like we will have anything taken care of. We have a new convention team. I think we will do a good job. I just don't want to miss anything.

It should be a fun convention. I'll be gone from the kids for about a week and a half. Gary and the girls will be on their own. It will be interesting to see how they do. I'm sure they will be fine. This is the first time that I'll be away from them. I feel for Gary b/c he's going to be Mr. Mom. I'm sure he will do fine. He's a great dad.

Another little pickle on the way!

I know, I know... It's been a long time since I've been on here. There's been so much going on! Where to begin?????

As most of you know, we are having another little pickle. Infact, we are having another little girl. My poor husband. I told him the only way to have another male in the house is to get a dog. :)

So, we had a bit of a stressful weekend. On Wednesday I had a to go to specialist. There were signs that the baby might have Downs Syndrome. So, I had to do another sonogram and if those tests were inclusive than I needed to do an amnio. Well, those tests came back inclusive so, I needed to do an amnio. Talk about scared! So many emotions!!! This huge needle going close to the baby and the possiblity of the baby having downs. And being pregnant is just emotional to begin with...

So, here I am all emotional getting ready to get poked by this needle. Mean while, my doctor had the best bedside manner. Skinny Italian with thick Italian accent. He explained everything when he was doing it. I could see where the needle was going. He was telling me when the needle was going in and when he was taking the amnioic fluid. So after that was done, I had to take a personal day and Gary and I went to eat something. We wouldn't know the results for about 72 hours from the test. So, that would be Monday. TALK ABOUT STRESSFUL WEEKEND! I really tried not to think about it but here I am thinking about it all the time. I tried not to worry Gary either. He didn't want to talk about until we knew for sure. I can understand that but I wanted too. I thought it was good to talk about this.

Things would be different. Of course having 3 kids (girls) is going to be challenging, but the thought of having a baby with downs would be a little more challenging. But I knew that we would be up for the challenge. She would be perfect no matter what!

So, Monday comes..... Don't hear anything.. I go take a nap and still nothing. Gary called the doctor's office and they wouldn't give him the results because they needed to talk to me. So, I called. She told me that everything was fine and that it definitely was a girl. So, I guess its just one of those bumps in the road that life throws at you.

So, now I'm thinking about names. Gary won't even talk about it until I get closer to the due date. So if you have any ideas.... Shoot them my way. :)

First Doctor's Appointment

So, I had my doctor's appointment on Tuesday!! This is funny: The nurse comes and gets me. I get weighed. She asked me: "So, how many pregnancy tests did you take?""One digital one." "That's funny because you can always tell when first mom's come in because they take 5-6 tests. Mom's that have had kids before only take one" I started to laugh. I bet that is true. I think I took 3 or 4 when I was pregnant with Emma.

So, I get met the doctor. I'm due August 2. Funny thing is, Gary's birthday is August 1st. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GARY! Interesting because Emma was born 2 days before my birthday. Abby was born 4 days before Mark's birthday (Gar's brother). The neat thing was I got to get a sonogram done because I was in the sonogram room. All I got to see was the sack and this little tiny heart beating. Total Miracle! Puts a smile on my heart!

I have a little morning sickness and I'm definitely tired. (its only the beginning) I think I'm totally nutz because I'm going to be pregnant in the summer time! Can you say Air Conditioner.

Turkey day in a nutshell

Wow that was fast. Its been pretty eventful! Gary made his first turkey. We had so many sides and pies. YUMMY! I think I've had my fill of turkey! My parents were great! Emma made cookies, played with playdoo, made a glitter picture, and made a mess. :) She had a great time with my mom and dad. Abbster was have a great time with my mom and dad.

The day before Turkey day, I wasn't feeling very well. I have had this feeling before. So, i stopped at the store and got a pregnancy test (the digital one). I came home, said hi to my dad, went up stairs, did my thing and called Gary... "Ummm honey - remember when I told you I thought I was pregnant.. Well, I was right.. I'm pregnant" Gary's response: "Are you sure?" My response: "yes, i got the digital test and it took a minute to say PREGNANT" LOL! I think Gar was in shock.

I came down stairs and asked my dad how the trip was and how is he feeling.. He asked me the same things. My response: "I'm good. I'm pregnant." His response:" When did you find this out?" My response:"About 5 minutes ago" His response: "You're going to give me a heart attack! Congratulations!" Funny day.

We are very excited. My first doctor's appointment is Dec. 4th.

The holidays are right around the corner!!!

So the holidays are right around the corner. I can't believe that turkey day is almost here and then Christmas.

Holiday plans go as followed:

Turkey day- We will be celebrating Turkey day at my Aunt's house in Old Town.. This will be the last Thanksgiving in this house. She and my mom are going to sell it. Don't worry they built another house right next to it. YAY! I'm hoping my parents come up. My dad is not really fond of driving up during that holiday because it is so busy.. But I got Emma to ask him. (she has him wrapped around all ten of her fingers) Funny thing about that.... I recall prior to having kids I was his little girl. After she was born, she became papa's little girl! When we went to visit this summer, we pulled up to my parents house and they literally went straight for the pickles. About 10 minutes later, I get this "Oh, Sarah how are you doing?" I've been pushed to the side by my own kids! Its awesome because the pickles LOVE their grandparents!
WOW that was a long rant! Anyways back to the subject at hand. Gary is going to do the turkey this year. Or so I think. We will see. If not, Sue and Boon (nannies) will be doing the turkey and he will make something else. My little Martha Stewart! :) So, we will be eating like royals for like 4 days after. Turkey sandwiches all around!

Christmas - Side note about Christmas... I get a week off for Christmas at work. Yes its true... I get from Dec. 24 - Jan. 1 off. How cool is that!!! YAY for me! Okay so this year... Gary decided he wanted to go to Connecticut for Christmas. We haven't been up there for Christmas since 2002. (long ass time) Last year we spend it with my family in South Carolina so, its only fair that we go to Connecticut this year. It will be nice! The pickles will LOVE IT. I just REALLY hate the cold. I think its cold down here.. Up there is like REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY cold. We have decided to start doing our Christmas shopping now. Usually we wait. We do know what Santa's bringing Emma. Abby is alittle different. She's small and doesn't understand that stuff yet. What to do!!! I feel the stress coming on!! We will have to see. As for Gar, I have to really think about it..... Any ideas, let me know!

Plus, every year at the same time Gar has a conference in PA he has to go to. This year he came down and met us in Gaithersburg. It was nice for the girls to see him.

Long time no blog...

Let's see....

Last weekend we went to the pumpkin patch with the girls. That was fun! Emma had a blast. We got 4 pumpkins. One huge one and 3 smaller ones.

We were pretty busy this past week. I had some meetings at work and Gar stayed late one night. Abbster is getting some more teeth so, she hasn't been feeling that great.

This week will be a little hectic. Gar is traveling Tues-Thurs. He is meeting us at The Ech's for trick or treating with the girls. I'm taking Wednesday to just chill for a bit. Sarah time...
Emma is going to be Minnie Mouse and Abbster is going to be a bumble bee.

Gar and Emma carved the HUGE pumpkin. VERY CUTE!!!
